AJ Networks Donates Holiday "Happiness Boxes" to Children and Youth in Care
- Gifts they really want based on the wish cards written by the children
AJ Networks (095570) announced today that it donated 'Happiness Boxes' to group homes and nursery schools in Songpa-gu for the end of the year.
On the 18th, AJ Networks conducted a year-end happiness box sharing campaign in cooperation with Changemaker, a non-governmental organization (NGO) registered with the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
The campaign was planned so that AJ employees could play Santa and counsel children who had difficulty saying what they wanted for Christmas or felt sad about formal gifts, and give them the gifts they wanted.
The volunteers, consisting of 20 AJ employees, gathered at the AJ building to make 100 happiness boxes for the children. The boxes consisted of individual gifts based on wish cards from the children, along with a message of hope from Santa, and a common gift of sneakers.
The boxes will be delivered to 11 group homes and nursery schools in Songpa-gu, Seoul, including the 'Starlight Village' group home in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Each facility will support the emotional and psychological development of the children through Christmas tree decorating and letter writing activities delivered in advance.
An official from AJ Networks said, "We planned this campaign because we wanted to give the children who always receive similar donated items the gifts they really want." "AJ Networks has been conducting various social contribution projects to practice a corporate culture of sharing, and we will continue to act as a corporate social fence so that there are no marginalized neighbors around us."
